We are a non- profit bass club registered in Caseyville, IL. We promote a fair and friendly atmosphere for competitive bass fishing events that are designed to promote sportsmanship, conservation and the improvement of angling. We encourage family participation at our events and sponsor family oriented events like a His & Hers team tournament, a Kid Rodeo and a Family Barbecue.
Hollywood Heights Bassmasters is a draw club, members with boats are paired with non-boaters before each tournament. Gasoline expenses for boat and tow vehicle are shared equally between both members, the non-boater is asked to pay $20 to the boater for these expenses. Our annual membership fee is $25.00. The tournament fees are $35.00 per tournament. A mixture of lakes with a limited horsepower and open horsepower are chosen each year by the tournament committee. For 2010 there are 2 lakes chosen with limited HP and all others are Open HP. A monthly newsletter summarizes tournament results and is given out at the meetings and is posted on the web site.
Here is how the draw works...
1.) The draw will be held on the first Tuesday of the month at the Bridge Inn in Caseyville, IL at 8pm. If you cannot attend then you must get someone to "put your name in" or else you cannot fish the events that month.
2.) You give the Tournament Chairman your money for the event(s) at the meeting (or by your proxy if you cannot make it).
3.) You have the option to be either a BOATER or a NON-BOATER for each tournament. This must be declared when you register for the event. If you choose to go as a BOATER you WILL USE YOUR BOAT! We put all of the BOATERS in a bag and the NON-BOATERS in another bag. We draw out a BOATER then pair that person up with a NON-BOATER. Once all of the NON-BOATERS are paired up the remaining BOATERS will fish by themselves. In the rare occasion that we have more NON-BOATERS the remaining NON-BOATERS will have the option to either find a boat to use or withdraw from the tournament.

Our final event of the year, the Classic, has no tournament fee and members qualify by simply fishing at least five of our nine tournaments. Either way the final event is always a day of fun for all who participate. The club meets monthly at 8pm in the Bridge Inn, Caseyville, IL on the first Tuesday of the month. Factory representatives/vendors are invited to display their products and discuss usage and techniques, which allows our membership access to current information available on a wide range of outdoor products. Local issues are brought to the members' attention as well.
